new england drivers have a reputation of the being the worse drivers around – apparently i’m one of them. at the crack of dawn this morning around 5:30 am, i was getting off the highway and before i knew it, i was being honked at by a dump truck driver.

well. that dump truck driver followed me to my job, pulled in, waited for me to get of my car where he confronted me.

it sounded a lot like this, “what are you? a f’ing idiot? you f’ing this and f’ing that. you f’ing cut me off. i arta kick you f’ing ass. etc.”

it actually scared the crap out of me. there was no one around and this old man was yelling at me from 20 feet up in his dump truck.

i kind of just stood there outside of my jeep and let him get everything he wanted to say out of his system. when he was done, i simply said, “i’m sorry,” before he drove off in his fit of rage.

and i was/am sorry. i didn’t see the guy. contrary to most other new england drivers, i’ll admit i may have made a mistake. i didn’t intentionally cut the guy off. i’m not so sure following me to work and cursing me out in the parking lot while still dark outside was really necessary.
